How the elements work in a work of art

How to grab the picture you want that you can see but you don't know how to frame can be learned pretty quick. It is simple composition foundation strategy that you can learn to capture the picture that you have in mind.

Composition is what is the placement of the things inside the photo. When you have certain elements inside the photo it makes it so that you can have certain things pop out, weather you are using patterns, symmetry, textures, depth of field and leading lines. Through out all your pictures once you find the story you want to tell, composition helps you can the message across so that is pleasing to the eye and so that it will be more enjoyable. So lets break it down.

This one photo has all of the elements but one, we have the pattern of the different panels of the wood as the deck which brings it a different kind of style to the whole picture. There is texture of the old wood of the stubs and the deck itself. The depth of field in the back, which turned the lights into a bokah feel. The leading lines of the panels on the bottom make you follow it up, and the 2x4 leading to her make you follow it to her.

Imagine if everything was just flat and one color and you could see everything in the background, and the background doesnt have antything nice in it. having little basic knowledge of compstion can turn you work into a work of art.
