That's why
Sure, everyone is a photographer now, with the new iPhone people can take possibly take better pictures than some photographers especially if they are a new photographer. I went through that myself when I first started taking pictures, how can this guy take better pictures with his phone and I have this DSLR camera and mine looks blurry or out of focus.
After some time, and learning I got a lot better and started learning from other people and saw what was good, what was pleasing to the eye, something that stood out to people and simple things like framing and making everything in the picture have relevance. There's more that goes into photography then simply just taking a picture. See photography is art its something you have to grow in something you must take time to learn, watching all the videos on YouTube or taking a class without having hands on and doing stuff yourself outside of class and doing more than watching videos.
I can tell you the reason why people still hire photographer is simply because the photographer has practiced and have trained to take pictures. They see things different then regular people, there are people who have never taken a class or have looked at a video about it, and take amazing pictures just because they are so creative, but with a professional photographer you'll will get the whole package.
When I did one of my first shoot I didn't know what I was doing, I wanted colors to pop and things to just stand out so I made this wonderful master piece. I Believe this was at the beginning of 2016.
The package I was talking about earlier was having to do with people having experience, if they have experience of course , then there's having the trained eye, the different types of equipment photographer could have so that you can get a different look for your pictures like different lenses or flashes or reflectors. There is also the post production with a real photographer, knowing how to retouch or Photoshop something is importation, because some of these programs are complicated to learn and use.
After a year of me learning how to edit and how to take the picture with the right lighting, and really what looks good to the eye, I started to make work that looks like. That's what makes me different then other people with phones.
